My son loved the board book edition of this story as a 1 year old and we still enjoy it at 2 and a half Fun to do motions and funny noises for a toddler to mimic Peck peck peck was one of my sons first words because of this book.

I love the large text, large illustrations, and large sounds in this book I think it will be fun to read aloud, thought the toddler audience might not be able to last for the whole thing May abbreviate in spots.3 2 10 3 4 10 I did paperclip a few of the pages at the end so that I didn t use them Lost the kids on Tuesday, but after some advice and suggestions from my supervisor, I think I did much better on Thursday in making it work.11 23 16 Used in food Thanksgiving toddler theme I se I love the large text, large illustrations, and large sounds in this book I think it will be fun to read aloud, thought the toddler audience might not be able to last for the whole thing May abbreviate in spots.3 2 10 3 4 10 I did paperclip a few of the pages at the end so that I didn t use them Lost the kids on Tuesday, but after some advice and suggestions from my supervisor, I think I did much better on Thursday in making it work.11 23 16 Used in food Thanksgiving toddler theme I seriously haven t done this since one of my very first storytimes Interesting Well, I had the tiniest toddler crowd I have seen in over 5 years Though they were pretty quiet, they did the motions and animal eating imitations with me, so I am pleased Still paper clipped some of the pages to keep the book flowing for them

My five year old son picked this book out from the library last week At five, he was a bit old for the target audience As other reviewers stated, this would make a perfect board book Even though my son was too old for this book, it was still a fun read He enjoyed the illustrations, especially the one of the cat which borethan a passing resemblance to our Molly Kitten Actual rating 3.5, but I round up.

Great for sound effects and participation in storytime All turn out to be animals in a toddler s animal cracker box.Summary Shows some members of the animal kingdom for a cacophonous celebration of 10 different eating sounds How does a cow eat MOO O O O chew, MOO O O O chew How does a chipmunk eat Nibble bibble, nibble bibble.

Simple narrative with lots of onomatopoeia it s a good book for beginning readers and a really fun book to read aloud Would easily keep up with the short attention span of a toddler Our girls read this one to me at bedtime.

  6. Kendra says:

Isaac laughed out loud a lot while we read this story together It has only a few words on a page perfect for his attention span and it has lots of fun sounds It is also all about animals which he loves

Read this little board book to Natalie while she ate lunch because it seemed fitting It pairs an animal with the sound it would make eating, though the sounds arecharacteristic than accurate I assume Natalie laughed at the aardvark.

  8. Meg McGregor says:

In this sturdy board book, little ones can find out a beaver, cow, chipmunk, frog, pig, bear, giraffe, cat, aardvar, and woodpecker eat There is a surprise ending that I am sure your little one will appreciate very much.
