A novel that seems to have a memoir struggling to break out. Some interesting and believable vignettes of the protagonist’s doings as a female “high powered political consultant” (who actually comes across as more powerless than powerful) and her conflicted role as the daughter of a terminally ill, sort of nutso Texas matriarch. Not enough there to recommend it, though.

  2. Louise Annetta says:

Great title. Some really good vignettes and word pictures. But I could not follow the story as it jumped around in space and time. I did not learn much about the characters and could only tell them apart by their names.

  3. Dianne says:

This is a story about a political consultant who is searching for love & meaning in her life. It is poorly written & the characters have no depth.
