Beautiful prose, grossly immersive and deftly worked out plot There were times were I simply stared at a sentence, not even seeing the words but just the actual shape of it all and wondering how the hell a couple of scribbles on a piece of dried out tree could make me feel this way Only had similar experiences with Jordan, Williams and Rothfuss.

Readers looking for the next great fantasy series need look no further Chase Blackwood s fresh new novel Into The Fold is an enthralling fantasy book sure to entertain both long time fantasy fans and genre newcomers alike Into The Fold is the third installment in the author s superb Kan Savasci Cycle The series tells the tale of protagonist Aeden, a young man whose actions will one day shake the foundations of Blackwood s intricately shaped fantasy world The first two installments of the ser Readers looking for the next great fantasy series need look no further Chase Blackwood s fresh new novel Into The Fold is an enthralling fantasy book sure to entertain both long time fantasy fans and genre newcomers alike Into The Fold is the third installment in the author s superb Kan Savasci Cycle The series tells the tale of protagonist Aeden, a young man whose actions will one day shake the foundations of Blackwood s intricately shaped fantasy world The first two installments of the series have foreshadowed Aeden s future rise into a powerful and mysterious sorcerer known and feared throughout the world simply as the Kan Savasci In Into the Fold we see Aeden begin his journey down the path of the Arkein, as magic is known in Blackwood s world Readers will be pleased as Into the Fold wastes no time picking up Aeden s story where Book Two s cliffhanger of an ending left off Chase Blackwood s lyrical prose continues to shine painting sharp, vivid landscapes in the mind of the reader I highly recommend this book series to fantasy fans who are looking for a fresh, original take on the low fantasy genre With the Kan Savasci Cycle Chase Blackwood has set himself above and apart from his fantasy peers His voice and writing are distinct in a genre dominated by uninspired Tolkien and R.R Martin imitators Fan s of Pat Rothfuss Kingkiller Chronicles in particular should appreciate Blackwood s evocative writing style Fantasy readers who appreciate quality world building, like myself, will not be disappointed by Into the Fold as Blackwood continues to flesh out theexotic corners of Verold

Everything about this book was on point, and I can t thank Netgalley enough for sending me a copy to review and enjoy It was extremely well written, with great characters as well as their development The plot was interesting and engaging and time well enough that it didn t drag, but certainly didn t seemed rushed by any means The descriptions for the creations in this world were vivid and detailed Overall it was a great story and world to get lost in and a thoroughly enjoyable read.

This book is a disappointment It is both overwritten and underwritten There is excessive verbiage tons of flowery language with metaphors that don t work It bogs down the story and eventually overwhelms it The book just goes on too long It meanders into a vagueness that makes most of the book seem pointless The reader loses the sense of why the characters are doing what they are doing, and sometimes it s not clear what it is that they are doing. The book is underwritten in that there is v This book is a disappointment It is both overwritten and underwritten There is excessive verbiage tons of flowery language with metaphors that don t work It bogs down the story and eventually overwhelms it The book just goes on too long It meanders into a vagueness that makes most of the book seem pointless The reader loses the sense of why the characters are doing what they are doing, and sometimes it s not clear what it is that they are doing. The book is underwritten in that there is very little depth to most of the characters even when we are privy to their thoughts they are repetitively one note The central character Aidan basically disappears from most of the book except to intervene super hero style and save the day from time to time The thrust of the first two books is lost in this overly long third volume The editing, however, is a little bit better there are far fewer typos

ConsistentMuch like the last book, this one filled with adventure, interesting people, gods and secrets The story moves along at a brisk pace, loaded with detail and definitely draws your attention There s a nice change of pace between present and past, with old friends coming back into the fold Definitely wish foranswers, but that s the mark of a good story and storytelling.
